Controlling Rabies by Using Onehealth approach

3 days back , I got a chance to present my work on Rabies titling "Rabies post-exposure prophylaxis with IDRV and local wound infiltration with eRIG in rabid dog bite victims using one health approach"
Here I am sharing the link for researchgate ,those who are interested may read.

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/358438475_Rabies_postexposure_prophylaxis_with_IDRV_and_local_wound_infiltration_of_eRIG_in_rabid_dog_bite_victims_using_one_health_approach
In above picture IDRV vaccine is being given 0.2 ml in prescapular region in this dog.
In this picture 0.2 ml IDRV is given to a cow , bitten by lab confirmed rabid dog in middle of the neck.
Local wound infiltration with eRIG in Category-III bite wound
Our conclusion is eRIG is life saving in animals as well as humans when given in local bite wound site even after confirmed rabid dog bite.
IDRV is much more cost and dose sparing than IMRV as already proved in human studies and is recommended by WHO for humans.

Why differentiation then ?
We need to take a paradigm shift from our unsafe and orthodox PEP protocol in animals to a safer one.
